Our Mission for Catholic Men on this retreat

To bond men, especially fathers and sons.

We are a band of brothers walking in Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith together, and having fun doing so.

Why have a Catholic Men’s Retreat?

To Glorify God in Jesus Christ through the teachings of the Catholic Church and sports. It’s about the formation of the Catholic Man by Catholic men who know and understand.

Who should attend the Men of Virtue Retreat?

All men are welcome. This would be a good retreat for fathers and sons to attend together, but it’s also for single men, all men, ages 13 and up.  Adult men who are fathers or not but may be uncles or grandfathers or even any single man are invited and included.

If you are a man who believes he is not holy enough to attend, you are wrong. This is for men striving for holiness or who would like to learn more about how he can attain holiness and be a better man, husband, father, son, brother or friend.

If you are struggling with any area in your life, join the club! We are a band of brothers in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior who is The Divine Physician and who came for the sick! That would be all! Men, do not preclude yourself for any reason! Come on this retreat, you won’t be sorry you did. It’s a really good value and will add value to your life.

What types of activities are held during The Men of Virtue Retreat?

We will play a sport on Saturday afternoon and have fun doing so. The Sport that will be taught and played: Softball. Bring your glove.

Athleticism is NOT required. You do NOT have to be in good shape to particiapte as the focus will be on fun and just moving our bodies a little. Many boys or men simply desire to have a catch with their father or another.

It’s designed for ALL boys and men whether you played sports growing up and were good, mediocre or not so good. We hope many father-sons come but it is not limited to father-son only.

It is also for a boy or man who never even tried to play a sport or may have been physically disabled because of a sports injury or any injury as what happened to Fr. Bill Atkinson, Servant of God. We are all disabled in a sense and in need of Jesus Christ, The Divine Physician, for healing.

In addition to playing a sport, we will cover and go in depth on one virtue per year for seven years and then start over. The three theological virtues and four Cardinal Virtues will be the focus.

Other activities during the Catholic men’s retreat
