Two Poems Inspired By Advent and A Priest’s Homily 2024

MAKING SPACE

Are you making space, making space for Jesus 

You don’t find him, He finds you

Only if you make space for Him

He never forces Himself on You

Are you making space, making space for Jesus

He left us a gift, it’s called the Catholic Church

In this Church we store this treasure in earthen vessels 

Are you making space, making space for Jesus

The gifts are called Sacraments

Reconciliation is speaking to and confessing to Jesus through the veil of His ordained minister we call Priest and Father

Eucharist is called Holy Communion with Jesus and means Thanksgiving, it’s the holy and precious body , blood , soul and divinity of Jesus 

We have 5 more Sacraments and The Bible we call Holy Scripture and Tradition which is the lives of the Saints throughout history and the Magisterium which is the structure and heirarchy that Jesus established 

None of this is or was made by man but by the Lord God Almighty – Father, Son and Holy Spirit who also chose Mary, most holy the Mother of God and Saint Joseph and all the Saints since then following in Jesus footsteps 

Jesus – the new Adam, Mary – the new Eve , both crushing the head of the Serpent 

So , you see we must make space for Jesus here and now or there will be no space for us , then and there 

Please , make space for Jesus, here and now, in your heart, mind, body and soul 

Are you making space, making space for Jesus

CHANGE MY HEART , NOT MY CIRCUMSTANCES 

Have you ever prayed for or even rejoiced in the negative things that happen to you, it’s so absurd but yet so beautiful

1 Thessalonians 5:18 states – In all circumstances give thanks to God, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus

And again in Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say if again: Rejoice!

Why do seemingly bad things happen to seemingly good people – 

TO UNLEASH LOVE 

Grateful for divorce, loss of money, loss of job, loss of house, loss of health, loss of mind, loss of loved ones?

Everything that happens to you and me in this essence of life has  purpose; your life has purpose; don’t waste suffering; spend intimate time in silence with the living Jesus, especially in Adoration of the Most Holy Sacrament 

LISTEN TO HIM

The good and especially the bad or negative things in your life are meant to be and will draw you closer into the loving sacred heart of Christ

You don’t find Christ, He finds you, let love, love

Get on your knees and thank the almighty God for the negative things in your life because it’s your path to resurrection as there is no resurrection without the CROSS, which appears to be a negative thing but in disguise is a blessing and the most important blessing

You be the change and the only thing that has to change is everything 

Lord, please change my heart not my circumstances and thank you for my circumstances and loving me so much in them
