Nuggets of Truth –
Do you and I not call Jesus our Brother, our Lord, our Savior and our King and our everything ?
Do we not call God, Father? Didn’t Jesus teach us this?
So does it not stand to reason that we should call Mary, the mother of Jesus, the mother of God , our mother? If Jesus is our brother who is God and who also taught us to call God our Father because He said God is His Father and Our Father and who has a real earthly Mother Mary who was kept spotless and unblemished because God willed it not man then it makes total and complete sense, because God is God and taught us, to call Mary our Mother. Jesus, who is God and our brother has a Father who is God and a Mother who is Mary and took His flesh and appearance completely from her.
We must view Scripture entirely and not lean on one passage otherwise we will be contradicted.
Translations of Scripture can also contradict.
If Jesus had brothers through Mary He would not have given His mother to John at the foot of the cross, even if His so called brothers were not at the foot of the Cross Jesus would not have done that because it’s even scriptural that the Jewish people are obligated to take care of family and specifically a brother must take in the wife of his deceased brother so the same would hold for a brother and his mother therefore there are no blood brothers of Jesus through Mary nor anyone else.
Jesus also stated in Scripture – who are my mother and brothers and sisters; those who do the will of God which Mary most certainly and completely carries out therefore we are Jesus’ family when we carry out His will therefore He was instructing us that we will have a family of blood relatives and a religious and spiritual family through Him coming from His Mother Mary.
Jesus came to fulfill the law not establish a new Church. The Catholic Church is the fulfillment of the law and Jesus is The Word or Logos and Tradition is the Word handed down from generation to generation by and through the lives of the Saints and the Magisterium are the Apostles throughout time and history (Pope and Bishops teaching authority given by Jesus Himself) and all of this is established by God Himself (not man made) in and through what The Church calls Sacraments.
The Catholic Church is Assembly and no different then when the ancient Israelites assembled to listen to the prophets proclaim and preach scripture and the priests then and now wear vestments, had manna (Eucharist which is gift of Jesus and means thanksgiving), used holy water and were coated with the sprinkled blood of the sacrificial animal. The ancient Israelites did not have Jesus in the flesh yet so He (Jesus) is the difference maker.
Jesus simply came IN THE FLESH, was sent and replaced what was done before Him to be done now eternally through time, space and history every day.
