Bonjour everyone. Well, we are already in the Season of Advent and, as always, at this time of year , there is much going on that brings us closer to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
On Thursday, December the 8th, we will celebrate the Feast of The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary after the Oremus Communications Family Rosary Program ( OCFRP) with a special Novena Prayer giving witness to the Holiness of Our Blessed Mother from the moment of her conception.
On Monday, December 12, we will celebrate another Feast Day of Our Blessed Mother under her title: Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will be Joined by Mr. Carl Malburg, the Guardian of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima as our guest co-host on the (OCFRP) starting at 12:05 pm EST {Log onto: oremuscomms.com and click onto: LISTEN LIVE}. Carl will talk about the many titles of Our Blessed Mother and reflect on her greatness, and what it all means to our Christian Community.
On Friday, the 16th, Mr. Charles De Feo, O.P. member of the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic and renowned author will return to the OCFRP to talk about the early church and the 800th Anniversary in January of the founding of the Dominican Order.
On Sunday, December 25, Christmas Day, we will feature another special Novena Prayer as part of our OCFRP honoring Our Lord Jesus Christ on the day of His birth.
On the next day, Monday, the 26th, Fr. Peter Welsh, who serves as parochial vicar at St. Helena Parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and as the Spiritual Director of Regina Pacis, the Spanish Curia of the Legion of Mary, will return to OCFRP to talk about St. Stephen, the first martyr of the church.
On Thursday, the 29th, the Feast Day of St. Thomas Becket, we will be in for a special treat! Mrs. Janet Graffius, Curator of Collections at Stonyhurst College in the U.K. will be our guest co-host on the OCFRP for the first time. For those of you who remember, Janet was in Philadelphia last June serving as the Custodian of relics of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher at the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, Pa. USA. As you can imagine, Janet will talk about the political and religious challenges that all three of these great English Saints had to face on their path to Sainthood.
