  • OREMUS COMMUNICATIONS JUNE 2018 NEWSLETTER
Hello everyone. Before we get started, we would like to make an announcement. The Immaculate Conception Praesidium of the Legion of Mary in Hockessin, DE will be joining Oremus Communications (OC) with their own program, entitled “Legion of Mary Immaculate Conception Praesidium Divine Mercy Chaplet Program”.
As you know the Legion of Mary is a worldwide Catholic organization consisting of millions of members, whose mission statement calls for “going out and preaching the Gospel to the world”, using all means of communications. Their goal is to help its members and all those whom they meet to reach Heaven by sharing God, through His Mother, and giving glory to God. One of the devotions of which the Legion of Mary is very fond is the Divine Mercy Chaplet. It is the Divine Mercy Chaplet which began with Saint, Sister Faustina that will be the core of the program. The program will begin every Friday at 3pm EST. Simply visit oremuscomms.com and click on “listen live”. The archive of each program will be available on www.oremuscomms.com\archives – legion of mary.
The month of May was quite busy because it allowed us to continue with the Easter season, including the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord on the 10th and the Feast of Pentecost Sunday on the 27th. In addition, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima was celebrated on Sunday May 13th marking the 101st anniversary of the Fatima message.
The month of June promises to be equally busy with the celebration of the most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) on Sunday, June 3rd and the Feast Day of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 8th. Lineup of guest co-hosts for the OC Family Rosary Program (everyday 12:05 EST Monday through Saturday and 2:00pm EST) include Dr. Mary Anne Ritchie Gordon, prominent Pro-Life physician from the Delaware Valley and Board Member of the Pennsylvanians for Human Life Education Services. She will appear on Tuesday, June 12th to talk among various topics about the life of Saint Anthony of Padua and his connection to Our Lady of Fatima. Next, we have Mr. Carl Malburg, Guardian of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima who will be calling in to the Oremus Communications Family Rosary Program (OCFRP) to give us the latest information about the Message of Our Lady of Fatima on Wednesday, June 13. And later on Friday, June 22, our good friend, Charlie DeFeo, renowned author and member of the Lay Dominicans will be our guest.
Of special note, we would like to congratulate Mr. Dominic Lombardi on his appointment as Executive Director of the Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life, and Youth Department of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) based in Washington, DC. Mr. Lombardi has been a great leader of import in his activities on behalf of Pro-Family Values, while serving as the Secretary and Director for the Secretariat for Catholic Life and Evangelization in the Diocese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Tony McGinley, OC Program Director and Dr. Mary Anne Ritchie Gordon at the Annual Pennsylvanians for Human Life Celebrate Lifebanquet on Sunday February 25, 2018.
