OREMUS COMMUNICATIONS AUGUST 2018 NEWSLETTER
Hello everyone. One of the major events in July was the official recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Papal Encyclical Humanae Vitae. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia took the lead in promoting a wide gathering of Catholic notables in the Delaware Valley to see the movie “The Sexual Revolution”. Such notables include Dr. George Isajiw, Dr. Monique Ruberu, Dr. Anton Raimundo and others. This brand new movie was shown at the Malvern Retreat House on July 25th, and explored all the ramifications (growth of abortion, euthanasia, and in-vitro fertilization) of “Humanae Vitae” as they apply to the sexual revolution and Natural Family Planning. The film tells the story of a young woman who had been born via in-vitro fertilization, and grew from being totally secular to becoming a Catholic with the highest respect for Humanae Vitae. If you are interested in obtaining this film for your parish or diocese, please visit www.sexualrevolutionmovie.com for specific details.

The month of August will feature, of course, one of the truly great Feast Days honoring our Blessed Mother, The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15. As a way of honoring our Blessed Mother, Oremus Communications Family Rosary Program (OCFRP) will present a lineup of guests who will pray with us and examine the significance of this great feast. For instance, on Tuesday, August 21, Anne DeSantis, Director of the Saint Raymond Nonnatus Foundation for Freedom, Faith and Family (under the auspices of the Mercederian Religious Order) will pray with us, and in addition to talking about our Blessed Mother, will also describe her ministry dedicated to comforting those who are divorced or separated. On Wednesday, August 22, we will have Mr. Carl Malburg, Guardian of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima who will be calling in to the OCFRP who will pray with us. Carl will also talked to us about our Blessed Mother under her title, Our Lady of Fatima. And later on Friday, August 24, our good friend, Charlie DeFeo, renowned author and one of the founding members of the Saint Pius X Catholic men’s group, will be our guest to pray and give his impressions of the “The Sexual Revolution” movie.
Lest we forget, the World Meeting of Families 2018 will take place on August 22 -26, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland. For more information contact the WMOF website at www.worldmeeting2018.ie/en/Connect-With-Us.
