OREMUS COMMUNICATIONS JANUARY 2019 NEWSLETTER
Happy New Year, everyone! We, at Oremus Communications (OC), wish all of you much success in the new year. Speaking of
which, there were many successful celebrations and events in the month of December.
The Immaculate Conception Praesidium of the Legion of Mary in Hockessin, DE continued to present every Friday at 3:00pm
the Divine Mercy Chaplet Program (www.oremuscomms.com) along with their Patrician’s Program every third Wednesday of the
month at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Hockessin, DE. For more information call Jim White at 302-367-5136.
The Celebration of Christmas was highlighted with a Papal Mass where Pope Francis called for a recommitment to the life of
prayer and sacrifice for the spiritual welfare of all mankind. On December 8th, we honored Our Blessed Mother on the Feast Day of
her Immaculate Conception. Four days later on the 12th, we celebrated the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe whose
appearances to Juan Diego in 1531 lead to the conversion of more than 10 million Native American Indians.
Oremus Communications (OC) participated in these festivities by celebrating with others at a banquet in honor of her title, Our
Lady of Guadalupe, at Saint Pius X in Broomall, PA (Archdiocese of Philadelphia). We were joined by many other pro-life notables
including our own Charlie DeFeo, Tony McGinley, and special guest, Jim Wood whose diligence as a Philadelphia Police Detective
brought the abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell, to justice. Also, in attendance was our own Dr. George Isajiw who was honored for his
pro-life ministry including Mother’s Home (a safe haven for pregnant women and their newborns). The 94 year old Harold Boston
received an award from the host of the banquet, Mr. John Williamson, Esq. for his faithful and dedicated service on behalf of the
pre-born ever since the Roe vs Wade decision in 1973.
Mr. Carl Malburg, from the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue Foundation, will be on the OCFRP on Thursday, January 17 to
talk about Mary, the Mother of God. On Friday, January 18, the March for Life in Washington, DC will take place, preceded by the
start of the “Nine Days for Life” Campaign beginning on Monday the 14th. (The campaign began in 2013 under the auspices of the
US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB.org) for the purpose of promoting prayer and sacrifice in reparation for the sin of
abortion.) Mr. Steve Bozza, Director of the Family & Life Office for the Philadelphia Archdiocese will talk on the importance of prolife activities in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Steve will be on the OCFRP on Friday, January 4. OC will be sure to be in
Washington, DC on the 18th adding its support to bring an end to the culture of death.
Charlie DeFeo will be with us Friday, January 25, talking about the March for Life and related activities, locally and nationally.
Happy New Year!
