OREMUS COMMUNICATIONS FEBRUARY 2019 NEWSLETTER

Hello everyone. The Annual March for Life in Washington, DC on January 18 was another great event bringing throngs of people from all over the United States of America. The people marched in groups in defense of all stages of life on the life spectrum, especially, the preborn children.

Locally, our OC listeners in the St. Francis of Assisi Pro-Life Group in Springfield, Delaware County, PA carried and displayed the Oremus Communications (OC) banner to the march for which we were most thankful.

The parish group lead by George Farrelly, like so many other organizations, arrived first at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC to attend Mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles Joseph Chaput OFMCap, current Archbishop of Philadelphia. They then proceeded to the march area to hear Vice-President Pence, Congressman Chris Smith and many other prominent pro-life leaders speak inspiring words to let the nation know that the Pro-Life Movement is more determined than ever to bring an end to the scourge of abortion.

Many other friends of OC were at the march including Annie Karto, nationally renowned Catholic singer and evangelist, and guest co-hosts on the OCFRP (i.e. January 25, 2019); Deb Piroch, Communications Director of Human Life International (HLI); Dr. George Isajiw, Past President of The Catholic Physicians Guild; Steve Bozza, Director, Office for Life & Family for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and other notables.

 

Father Shenan J. Boquet, President of the HLI spoke at the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco on January 26th, condemning the newly passed New York Reproductive Health Act. Others included representatives of the Knights of Columbus, Abby Johnson outspoken Pro-Life Activist from Texas, Walter Hoyt and others.

In February, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on Monday, February 11. In recognition of this feast day on February 12, Deb Piroch of the HLI will appear on the OCFRP to speak further about the New York Reproductive Health Act. As you know, HLI is the world’s largest pro-life organization. They work actively in 100 nations around the globe supporting Life, Faith and Family. Carl Malburg will pray with us on the OCFRP on Tuesday, February 19. And also Charlie DeFeo, prominent author and frequent co-host on Friday, February 22.

OC expects to make a presence again adding our support to the Pro-Life movement by attending the Pennsylvanians for Human Life Celebrate Life Banquet at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Delaware County, PA on Sunday, February 24.

Don’t forget that Saturday, February 2 is the first Saturday of the month and everyone has an opportunity to practice First Saturday Devotion in honor of Our Lady of Fatima.
