Truth and Reality

If you really want to learn something you have to teach it. That is why I teach, write about and share my Catholic faith. It’s the most important thing in my life. More important than anything or anyone else except Jesus. It’s the reason I follow Jesus and it helps me follow Him properly and become a better man, father, son, friend and human being.

I believe my Catholic faith provides the fullness of truth because it is the Church instituted by Jesus Himself when He appointed His Apostle Peter as His church’s first leader and the other Apostles as His first bishops and here we are some 2000 years later in a direct line of Apostolic succession with Pope Francis as Jesus’ Church leader and the bishops as His successors to the Apostles.

Therefore I teach, write and share this faith because I have been called to. By doing these things I learn and grow as well in faith. It sharpens and strengthens me.

I have been enlightened by The power of The Holy Spirit. I am a new creation, transformed and incredibly blessed by an illumination of conscience. If I don’t share these things than I am culpable and my very life, my eternal life and the eternal lives of others starting with my family and friends are placed in great jeopardy. The devil wants me and all believers to remain silent. We can’t. It would be impossible and the rocks would cry out. It is also an act of mercy, a Spiritual work of mercy to instruct and admonish, which makes it an act of Love. Therefore I teach, write and share my faith because as a friend likes to say to me, once you acquire knowledge, you cannot therefore not have knowledge.

My father used to say to me, if you want the job done right do it yourself. God, our Father, must live by these words because God doesn’t just tell us what to do. He came down from heaven Himself and did it HIMSELF! He lived, felt emotions but never sinned, ate, drank, laughed, cried, suffered emotional and physical pain, was tortured and died an excruciatingly painful death. He was a martyr. He also rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is seated on His throne and prepared a place in His kingdom for you and me, IF we follow Him. Will you follow HIM? If you do follow Him you will experience the greatest joy here on earth. More joy than any other human being or thing can provide.

He is God, and the only God. Barack Obama is not God! Hilary Clinton is not God! Donald Trump is not God! Nine Supreme Court justices are not God. They, along with you and me will stand before God totally naked with no excuses and explanations and with no one to defend us, and the devil, the accuser, will stand next to us to plead his case as to why you and I should be dragged down to hell with him. These are four final truths; death, judgment, heaven and hell. Where will you and I be? No reason to fear this either. Very simple plan, follow the Way! Here is what the Way said , “I am the truth the life and the way. No one comes to the Father except through me”. And again, “If you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have eternal life in you”. And another, “This is my body and this is my blood, take and eat, take and drink, do this in remembrance of me”. Jesus never said this is a symbol of me. He said THIS IS ME!!! Take and eat, take and drink. Jesus never said there are many ways to heaven, He only said I AM THE WAY!!! You and I have free will, we can accept this teaching or reject it. The Catholic Mass, which I love so dearly is the reality of the fullness of The Gospel lived every day! We have an altar call every day, and it’s pure bliss!!!

So, what is the most important thing in your life and will it last forever!!!?

Are you surrounding yourself and meeting with and learning from other people of faith on a regular basis? If not, start.

People in our culture today reject pain and suffering. Why? Jesus never rejected pain and suffering. He did ask His Father in heaven to allow this chalice of pain and suffering to pass, but He always said, not my will but THY will be done. Jesus always did the will of the Father. We, all of us, plain and simple are called to do the will of the Father. If we are called to suffer, count it as joy for The Kingdom. Offer it up prayerfully for the dying and poor sinners.

The written word of God or the Bible is the same yesterday, today and forever. You or I don’t dismiss this living breathing word because we live in the year 2016 AD.

Follow the path of the saints down through the ages because they followed in Jesus footsteps. Read about them.

Jeremiah 1:5 is clear. Before I formed thee in the womb, I knew thee. God is the author of life. He uses us as His instruments and what an honor we have that He does. Only God gives life and takes it away. Life starts at moment of conception in the womb and ends at natural death. Abortion is wrong and a sin. The death penalty is wrong and a sin. Taking anyone’s life near its end or anywhere in between is wrong and a sin.

Confess your sin and go to confession often. We are human, weak and sinful and we need the sacrament of confession often to receive God’s grace.

Genesis, the first book of the Bible is clear. God made them man and woman. He made them for a reason, to love and populate. Sex is for marriage and marriage is between one man and one woman. It’s a covenant and forever binding.

I have been through the darkness and seen a great light. If you are married and break your covenant marriage vow, go to confession and stop sinning.

If you are committing homosexual acts, go to confession and stop sinning. Even if you are in a monogamous relationship you need to stop and just go deeper in faith and deeper with Jesus. You can be friend’s with those of the same sex and even love those of the same sex, even if you attracted to those of the same sex it is okay and not a sin. Use your unique gifts and talents to glorify God’s kingdom and live a chaste life in every way. Lean on God and others. You can do it and live a happy and abundant life of joy here on earth!!!

Do not allow sex, pleasure, drugs, alcohol, money or power or anything else but God to be your God!!!

If you are an escort at Planned Parenthood or any abortion center, quit. Same advice for a nurse, abortionist or anyone else involved with it. Go to confession and stop partaking. Plain and simple. It’s not that hard if you rely on God’s mercy.

Let’s be the best we can be. Let’s be all God wants us to be!

It’s not easy in the beginning. Transformation takes time and God’s grace will win out over time. I can personally vouch for that. You will try to do the right thing and stumble and fall, maybe even over a period of years. You and I must regularly partake in the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion and immerse ourselves in the written word. If you are sincere about practicing these 3 things, God’s grace will win out over time and you can and will become a new creation. I am. But even my journey is a journey and I have to put on the breastplate of Jesus Christ every day. Every day I must do this or I will stumble and fall. If I do stumble and fall I will run to the sacrament of confession as fast as I can. Confession brings great joy!

You can do it with God’s help!!!

We have the strength to accomplish everything through HIM who empowers us!!!
